SCORCH & SEREN - Arcane fan characters - 2024 works
By the end of 2024, after Arcane's second season aired, I went in a big hyperfocus around the firelights. The principles of freedom, antifascism and fight against the oppressors they represent meant a lot to me. I took a deep dive into their version of the story by creating characters to tell a story in my own way. And here is the result!
Scorch is a vastaya born and raised in the mines. In a single mining accident, they lost their parents as well as the tip of their horn. Happily for them, a flock of Chirean find their way: Scar, his sister Seren, and three younger ones who soon became like their family. Things led them to meet Ekko, and found the firelights together. You'll find two comics among the few I wrote to develop the characters.
Scorch is a self-insert I designed as a cool charadesign exercise - as well as a narrative exercise to try and develop the firelights more.

Seren, Scar's sister in my take on the story. Falling deep in the shimmer addiction, she ends up fleeing the firelights to protect her loved ones. When Viktor's cult arises, she hopes to find a cure to her addiction and ends up as one of his puppets.
