PowerTag - Tech & Gameplay Animation

Here is what I have been working on for several months; the final result of lots of hard work and technical challenges I was eager to face. Here are my gameplay animations for PowerTag!

Creating the rig and then using it to give life to those athletes was a sheer pleasure. We faced technical challenges relative to the accuracy and responsiveness of the animation in interaction with its environment. This was a great challenge, and I came out more confident about my skills than before.

I hope you'll like it as much as I liked working on this project! Meet the full team here:

In-game preview of most of the character movements - all of which I have animated.

Defeat animation: the team wanted the game to be friendly and filled with fair play and sportsmanship values. I then thought of a cheerful defeat animation where the winner congratulates the other.

I also took care of rigging the character.

In-game preview of the customisation idle poses I animated.

Two different idles for the main character and Midas.

Lots of animations have been reworked at least twice to make sure they were the best possible.

A little summary of my technical journey to make the animations work!

Preview of the arms roll I worked on, which helps with better deformation on the arms.
